Descriptor
This qualification provides an occupational outcome and a range of support tasks applicable to the majority of construction work sites. The qualification has core units of competency that are required in many Certificate III qualifications. The elective options are structured to allow choice from a range of units aligned at Certificate III level and in total could provide meaningful credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship.


In order to successfully complete this qualification you must complete a total of 15 units of competency, 10 core units and 5 elective units.

CPCCOM1013 Plan and organise work
CPCCOM1014 Conduct workplace communication
CPCCOM1015 Carry out measurements and calculations
CPCCOM2001 Read and interpret plans and specifications
CPCCCM2005 Use construction tools and equipment
CPCCCM2006 Apply basic levelling procedures
CPCCCM2012 Work safely at heights
CPCCCO2013 Carry out concreting to simple forms
CPCCWHS2001 Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry

Elective

CPCCCM2002 Carry out excavation
CPCCCM2007 Use explosive power tools
CPCCCM2008 Erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding
CPCCSF2004 Place and fix reinforcement materials
CPCCCM2009 Carry out basic demolition
