Descriptor

This qualification provides a pathway to the primary trades in the construction industry with the exception of plumbing. Trade outcomes are predominantly achieved through an Australian Apprenticeship and this Certificate II allows for inclusion of skills suited for entry to off-site occupations, such as joinery and shopfitting as well as carpentry, bricklaying and other occupations in general construction.

This Certificate II is designed to introduce learners to the recognised trade callings in the construction industry and provide meaningful credit in a construction industry.

In order to successfully complete this qualification you must complete a total of 15 units of competency, 10 core units and 5 elective units.

CPCCCO2013 Carry out concreting to simple forms
CPCCWHS2001 Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry

CPCCCA3004 Construct and erect wall frames
CPCCCM2007 Use explosive power tools
CPCCCM2008 Erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding
CPCCSF2004 Place and fix reinforcement materials
RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces
